How a Small Family Hobby Slowly Became a Creative Brand

Every creative brand starts somewhere. Sometimes it begins in a big office with investors and business plans. But sometimes it begins in a quiet home, with a hobby, a dream, and a lot of patience. That’s exactly how LivLivStar started.

The Moment Everything Began

LivLivStar began when Haley Maria Sedgwick started spending more time on her creative hobbies. Crafting and making things had always been something she loved, but when her daughter Olivia was born in 2019, life changed in a beautiful way.

Then lockdown arrived. The world slowed down. Suddenly there was more time at home, and creativity started filling those quiet moments. Little projects slowly turned into ideas. And those ideas eventually became something bigger.

Maybe this hobby should not stay private.
Maybe it should be shared with the world.

Why the Name LivLivStar?

The name LivLivStar comes from someone very special — our daughter Olivia. She is the inspiration behind everything. LivLivStar is not only about stationery or cute designs. It’s also about celebrating individuality, creativity, and supporting autism awareness in our own quiet way.

Before LivLivStar: Our First Creative Project

Before LivLivStar, we experimented with small animated cartoon stories about our family life called Holivecomix. These animations showed funny everyday moments that many families recognise. Looking back, Holivecomix was the first real creative spark.

The Reality of Building a Creative Brand

Building something creative is not always easy. Many times we launched products we loved… and nobody noticed. You put love and time into something, and the world stays quiet.

Maybe this won’t work.

But LivLivStar always followed one simple idea: Dream. Dreaming keeps things moving forward. Even when progress feels slow.
